CHRISTMAS KARMA

Christmas Karma is an upcoming holiday film directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham), featuring a star-studded cast including Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Billy Porter (Pose), and Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton). A modern retelling of A Christmas Carol, the film is set against the backdrop of contemporary England and follows Sood, a down-on-his-luck businessman. A central part of the narrative is Sood's upbringing in Uganda amidst the Ugandan Asian Expulsion. Cece King served as Archival Coordinator on this project, contributing her expertise to ensure the archival materials authentically represent this harrowing, important historical context. Her involvement, personally requested by producers Stephen Jones (Wonder Woman, Gravity) and Celine Rattray (American Honey), plays a crucial role in rooting the story in its powerful historical setting.
